As part of the Brainstem Alliance Hackathon, themed “Connect to the World”, we developed AiBerta, an innovative platform designed to connect global researchers to Alberta’s quantum computing infrastructure and AI expertise. AiBerta enables users to securely upload their AI models, which are fully encrypted locally, simulated within a quantum virtual environment and then executed on real quantum machines hosted in Alberta. The system ensures complete data confidentiality, uses an intelligent AI-based orchestrator to route and optimize computation, and returns detailed performance metrics such as quantum fidelity, accuracy improvement and energy efficiency. This project demonstrates how Alberta can become a global technological bridge, offering open and secure access to its quantum capabilities and its world-class AI ecosystem (including Amii) to accelerate worldwide research. AiBerta perfectly embodies the theme “Connect to the World” by transforming Alberta into a global hub for quantum innovation. Our solution earned a 3rd place award, recognizing its originality, relevance, and potential impact.
